The training

The network organises training actions in order to mobilise the cultural operators on the territory (professional of the cultural field, associations, craftsmen, teachers...) around cross-border meetings and seminars.

Two cross-border meetings have been organised: in 2011 in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni and in 2012 in Saint-Georges-de-l'Oyapock. They gathered 50 to 70 participants into 4 workshops in order to debate the preservation and valorisation of cultural heritage.

Two professional seminars have also been planned over the past 24 months, this time for museum staff and heritage/culture departments in public institutions. The first one took place in Belém and dealt with the preservation of collections whereas the second, organised in Cayenne, was dedicated to mediation.

Finally, the three museum received trainees from university courses, museums and heritage services of the region.
